To a finish

As we get closer to a finish in this class, I can't help but to see the dramatic changes forming in my essay. The process of elimination has taken its place and my paper is looking different from when I first started. This semester has been pretty hard due to my personal life taking hold of my time, but I am trying to pull through it.

Introductions

So I just started on my introduction and have been having a few issues with it. First off, getting it to really stand out has been a major pain. Grabbing the attention of my readers has always been a strong point of mine, but getting the intro to map out my entire paper, I feel, is very crucial. I will be working on this today and use the "painting a picture" technique. If there's time after all that chaos I will definitely work on some more descriptive techniques as it helps me describe what's going on in my head.

Hot off the press!

This just in! I have started my official outline for my paper and I have a pretty good idea on how the structure of my paper will be. However, I am stuck on the proper way to transition the information to make the entire thing "flow" together. Also, I still have a lot of sources to look through and add to my assignment. Argh! The pressure is surely on!

A bitter process

Disclaimer: I feel the need to mention the following;
            This is strictly for my school research paper on the Sunni and Shia's beliefs. I've done a lot of research to make my research paper accurate and solid. I DO NOT support any terrorist groups or acts. I am just trying to get this paper done and hopefully gain an "A" Grade. Thank You!

Hey all,

          I've been working on this research for quite some time now and haven't had a life due to it... It's tedious, confusing and painful at times. I have gotten so much information online and it's a lot of heavy reading. Goggling a lot about the Muslim religions, history, and conflicts has made the my own Government very interested in my blog as my analytics show some IP address' this. I hope they don't think I'm up to no good. I doubt all the views in which I am getting are from my fellow students and I doubt that this blog is very interesting at all (Hense, the disclaimer).

          There's tons more of information that I must learn and I still have to get my Bibliography started (That's not looking so good right now...) in hopes of meeting the deadline. I also am looking to interview a few more people on their opinions with what's going on with Syria. Is it really as serious as the media portrays or is it a ploy for political gain? My brain hurts and my thoughts are all over the place as I'm really trying to piece this together.... SO CONFUSING!

Proposal

I will begin my research proposal today and get as much done as possible, because this is going to be a busy weekend for me. I don't think I have everything that is required, but I will do my best to knock it out in one page.

So far Wikipedia has been a great source for finding the historical aspect of Sunni's and Shiite's. There really isn't too much information that I can currently go with so I will keep searching.

Political Thought

After spending some great time to really think about the direction to go with my paper I have come to the conclusion that I cannot go through with my original idea. There's just too little information as to what made the Sunni's and Shiite's split. Most of all, after interviewing my professor she has made it clear that the minor dispute was simply over power. She has helped me confirm the best direction and action that has more to write about.

I will be going down the political route as the wars and civil disputes do to two separate groups wanting the power that Muhammad left behind. This has turned an already hard research paper into a tedious and painful one... Let the games begin!!!
